Great Hotel, helpful staff, good location to go around the entire Algarve region. Free parking. Good breakfast spread. Nice restaurants in walking distance. We got a free room upgrade!

The bathroom door was difficult to open and close as it didn't really have a proper door handle.

Close to perfection

The proximity to the ocean makes this stay even more relaxing. We went for new years and it was so nice to wake up on the 1st of January and stroll down to the beach without the need to take the car. The spa was a bit underwhelming but we were under the impression that the real value is in the massage service. This service was fully booked for the 2 nights we stayed there, so call ahead! The staff was wonderful, not a single member was subpar. Very nice people and helpful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I ever laid on, and the shower had great pressure and the option of a handheld shower head or a fixed overhead with a large area. Overall we were very happy with the room! The breakfast is a must. A bit of everything, if you’re a fan of English breakfast you have your options, but for us as portuguese people, there is nothing like fresh bread, mini pastéis de nata, bola de Berlim… oh and the pancakes! Wonderful food and environment!

The gym was one of the weakest hotel gyms I’ve seen. The multi station has few attachments for cable and a low range of movement. There is a lack of padding on the floor and you should definitely have sterilised individual mats available for guests to use. The free weight selection only reached 30kg. Treadmill wasn’t working. On our last day we got locked outside of the room, as the key card didn’t work anymore. We went to the front desk twice, and even with new cards we had no access. Had to wait 20 minutes for the technician to arrive (didn’t speak Portuguese but was really nice and helpful!) and he fixed it for us. This was frustrating as we were having a flawless stay so far, and were tired. Just wanted to shower and pack our bags but had to wait on the hall. Definitely a lowlight.

We had the warmest welcome when we arrived and all the staff were wonderful during our stay. As soon as we entered the room the TV came on welcoming us as well. The room was comfortable with a great bed. Breakfast had lots of choice and was very tasty. We were given two extra cards with the room cards to exchange for towels for the pool, spa and we could use for the beach if we wanted to. We had a massage each while we were there from a great therapist the hotel hire. There was ample parking which is private to the resort. We would certainly stay here again.

I was a little surprised the tea and coffee in the room was not replenished but a minor detail. Unfortunately the shower tray was not quite deep enough to contain the rainfall shower on full which my partner found out yesterday so would recommend using at a reduced flow, but even on slower it was more than acceptable. The sun loungers could do with a cushion for the head/neck. I was comfortable by rolling up a beach towel I brought and putting it behind my neck. I thought there would be more available in the spa but this wasn't an issue for us.

Friendly staff, clean, and exceptional value for money

I cannot speak highly enough about our stay at the Regency Salgados. We went in early January and found our stay to be the most relaxing holiday in ages. The staff (especially Luciana) could not do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The Hotel was modern, clean and close to the beach and local restaurants, the spa and outdoor pool facilitates were excellent also. The breakfast was amazing and the Hotels Ivy restaurant was exceptional.

The hotel is in the outskirts of Albufeira town centre but this was what we were after, the Old town is easily reachable by a 10min bus or Uber which were frequently available and affordable.

Lovely place to chill and relax.

Stayed her for a week and was very impressed. We were upgraded to a Deluxe Room. Beed was super comfortable. Room and Bathroom spacious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Its about a 5 or 10 minute walk to a lovely beach. I used the Spa at the hotel and Elena was just amazing. Would highly recommend at treatment if you go. Breakfast was great - lots of choice and the food from the pool bar was good as well. All in all I thought the hotel was lovely and would definitely recommend.

Only thing I would say on a slight negative is that it was a wee bit further away from Albufiera than we were used to but you can get a taxi easily for between 12 and 16 Euros.

Hotel is nice, room itself a little outdated and tired sadly

Hotel was really beautiful, great pool and food truck. Safe parking. Beds were okay, not the best but definitely okay :)

Room was a little bit outdated, for example the bathroom door was a little broken, moved only with force and made loud squeaky noises. Then the toilet button was literally almost falling off, only one of the two buttons worked.

Enjoyed my stay here - would definitely recommend for location and price for the quality of hotel.

Excellent quality hotel with lovely rooms and spotlessly clean. The swimming pool area was lovely although the pool is not that warm (I don't think it is heated). We liked the 'food caravan' next to the pool providing beer and good quality food at slightly elevated prices. Liked that I could receive a few English news channels and some lovely restaurants 10 or 15 minutes walk away. Reception staff are welcoming and helpful.

Get an ice machine that hotel guests can use whenever they want! Didn't appreciate being told at reception to go to the food caravan next to the pool to get ice, when there is a bar (albeit closed) 10 metres away. Breakfast was ok, but same thing every day got a bit boring after a while.

Relaxing and lovely stay, that is clean and great value for money, would highly recommend

The pool, the room, the buffet breakfast, walking distance to a beautiful clean beach, the friendly staff, everything was lovely and relaxing. We even attended a free yoga class by the pool.

It is in a very quiet location, which suited us but might not suit everyone, the nearest town is a 10 min drive, but was easy to get to by Volt or Uber if you don’t hire a car.
